Theresia

Born January 31, 1888 in Guebsenmoos.

Known as Theresa, she married Franz (Frank) Jaeger on October 26, 1910 in Victoria, British Columbia (see marriage certificate below).  They emigrated to Tasmania, Australia where they remained and raised their family.  Frank died in 1945 and Theresa died January 2, 1975.  They are buried together at the Stanley Cemetery in Tasmania.  See Theresa's story about her life in Wisconsin.  See also her letter to her family describing her trip to Switzerland with Daphne in 1949.   

 

Theresa and Frank had six children.  Karl Francis (born October 8, 1912 in Canada, died July 28, 1994), Walter Albert (born January 26, 1916 Tasmania, died January 30, 1989), Frank Ernest (born May 8, 1918 Tasmania, died June 6, 1990), Eugene Victor (born July 6, 1920 Tasmania, died January 2, 1969 in an accident), Daphne Theresa (born October 22, 1921 Tasmania) and Darwin (born January 5, 1923 Tasmania).

Karl married Joan Edwards and they had three children, Robert Karl, Patsy Joan and Eleanor.

Karl is buried in Stanley Cemetery.

 

Walter married Flavia Koneig and they had a son, Peter.  Peter had three children, Nicholas, Jamie and Rowan.

Walter is buried in Irish town Cemetery.

 

Frank married Peggy Burbury and they had four children.  Prudence, Ian, Christopher and Elizabeth.

Frank is buried in the Smithton Stanley Cemetery.

 

Victor married and had five children.  Colin, Anthony, Richard John, Jan Terese and Paul.

Victor is buried in the Smithton Stanley Cemetery.

 

Daphne married Bob Dempsey and they had no children.

 

Darwin (Dexter) married Beverly Grey and they had three children.  Gregory, Steven and Helen.

Darwin is in a nursing home (2009).
