Joseph Hermann

Joseph married Hedwig Schleer (born October 11, 1890, died 1963) from Alsace-Lorraine Germany in 1916.  They had three children. Richard D. (born June 19, 1917, died 1972 of a heart attack in Seattle), George W. (born October 11, 1920, died 1958 in a military plane crash) and Lucille (born November 12, 1922, died 1967/68). 

     Richard worked at real estate in Spokane.  He married Patricia Isom from Alberta, Canada     

     about 1922.  Richard and Patricia had three children.  

     Richard Allen (born February 15, 1943, died 2004), Gregory George (born April 28, 1945) and Leslie Joan (born  ?  21, 1949).

     Richard and Patricia are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane.

Joseph

George was a Commander in the U.S. Navy.  He was a pilot during WWII and was credited with

5 kills earning the Distinguished Flying Cross.  He also flew during the Korean War.  Typically he flew from aircraft carriers and was stationed on the Yorktown in August, 1943. 

George married Ann Kneeshaw (born  November 4, 1921) in 1943 and they had nine children.  Therese Eileen (born April 17, 1944), Patrick George (born May 12, 1945), Joseph Francis (born March 26, 1947), Mary Ann (born December 19, 1948), George Lewis (born April 28, 1952), John William (born August, 1954), Margaret Rose "Peggy" (born June, 1956), Christopher Charles (born July 5, 1957) and Mary Ann Kathleen (born June 27,

1958, died June 28, 1958)

Lucille married Lymon Cade in 1956 and they had no children.  They are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane.

Children of Richard and Patricia:    Richard Allen was a Spokane attorney who married Janice (a teacher in

    Spokane) and they had three children. Kimberly, Michelle and  

    Kristen.

    Richard is a graduate of Gonzaga Law School.  He is buried in Holy Cross

    Cemetery in Spokane.

    Gregory is an attorney in Spokane who married Esther DeLeon (from Othello,

    Washington) and they had two children.  Gavin (born 1978) and

    Garrett (born 1980).  Gavin works in the insurance business in Spokane.

    Gregory is a graduate of Gonzaga Law School.

    Leslie married and had two children, Brendan and Donovan Shanahan.  Leslie

    remarried and is now Leslie Lathrop.

Children of George and Ann:

    Therese is single and is retired from social service work and teaching.  She has

    no children.  Therese lives in Tacoma, Washington.

    Patrick George graduated from the Naval Academy in 1967 and flew

    helicopters during the Viet Nam War.  He retired from Boeing after

                                                                                                        1982 and adopted two children, Divina (born 1966) and Carmen (born 1970).

    Patrick and Gina had four children.  Guadalupe (born December, 1973), Nicole Marie (born March, 1975), Dominic (born February,1976) and

    Fernando (born January, 1978).

    Patrick and Gina divorced in 1981 and he married Estrellita in 1994.  They live in Kent, Washington.

        Children:  Nicole Marie married Nick Barret.  They have no children.

                        Dominic married Tara.  They live in Tacoma, Washington and have no children.

     Joseph Francis is a graduate of Portland University and served in the Navy in submarines and the Army as a physical therapist.  He

    married Patricia Klienke in June, 1969 qnd they had eight children.  Celine Caprice (born 1970), Joline (born May, 1973), Paul Matthew

    (born July, 1975), Robert (born June, 1977), Korrine (born 1978/79), John David (born 1983), Christine (born 1981) and James (born 1985).

     Joseph and Patricia live in             .

        Children:  Celine married Joel Servatius about 1998.  They live in Oak Harbor, Washington.  Their children are Blake, Ben and

                            Analiese.

                        Joline graduated Harvard and Georgetown University.  She is a cross-country runner.  Married Abram Andrejewczki in

                            May, 2001.  They own a publication business in Northern, Illinois.  Their children are Claire, John, Peter, Margaret,

                            Michael and Sam. 

                        Paul is a Major in the Army Special Forces.  He married Megan Moses in September, 2007.  They live in Monterrey, California and

                            have no children.

                        Robert graduated from U.W. and served in the Peace Corps.  Now he is an economic consultant in Washington, D.C.

                        Korrine is a dental Hygienist and married Jeremy Seuz.

                        John is a Captain in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne.  He lives in Manhattan, Kansas.

                        Christine lives in Lakewood, Washington and works in an adult family home.

                        James "Jimmy" is a diesel mechanic and lives in Manhattan, Kansas.  

    Mary Ann is a librarian in Seattle and is not married.  She lives in Burien, Washington.

    George Lewis lives in White Center, Washington and is not married.  He is employed as a janitor.

    John W. graduated from Gonzaga University and Creighton University Medical School.  He has worked as a Navy doctor and for the Mayo

    Clinic.  He married Marilyn Meyer in November, 1980 and they had three children.  Greg (born 1983), Joseph (born 1985) and

    Anne (born 1987).

        Children:  Greg graduated from Creighton University and is a doctor in the Navy.  He married Cassie Leverson, a nurse, in July, 2009. 

                        Joseph graduated from Villanova University and is an engineer. 

                        Anne graduated from Gonzaga University.

    Margaret Rose "Peg" works as a Landscape Architect in Seattle.  She married John Troup in 1982 and they had two children. 

    Rita (born 1988) and John Thomas (born August, 1991).  

        Children:  Rita graduated from Iona College in New York.

                        John is attending American University in Washington, D.C.

    Christopher Charles graduated from Gonzaga University in 1980,  U.W. Medical School in 1984, served as a Navy Flight Surgeon from 1985 to

    1992 and attended the University of Michigan Law School from 1990 to 1993.  He married Anita Nichols in Portland, Maine in 1990/91.  They

    have two children.  Ian (born 1994) and Laura (born 1996).

    They live in Tacoma, Washington with the family matriarch, Ann.
