Robert C. Staeheli "Bobby" was born in Addy, Washington on March 16, 1915 and died December 28, 1998.  His funeral service was at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel on December 31, 1998.  He is buried at Fairmount Memorial Park.

This is a portion of an undated letter written by Rose Staeheli:

Peter Salesius was Uncle Louie’s name.  Most of the Staeheli men’s middle name was “Herman” because that was Grandma Staeheli’s maiden name.  Uncle Louie was the only one born in this country.  Grandma Staeheli used to say he had a ride on the ocean and didn’t know it.

My brother Bobbie was at a doctor’s office in Spokane 3-4 years ago and Uncle Louie’s widow happened to be in the waiting room.  Bobbie said she was real nice and still lives in Coeur d’Alene.

I’m surprised Aunt Erma hasn’t kept in touch.  She used to always remember my mom at Xmas.  Poor Uncle Louie was sort of the black sheep of the family.  I last saw him at your mother’s funeral.

He always looked sad.  Here’s a clipping sent me a long time ago – no date – often wondered which Staeheli this gal came from.

Again, I am so sorry I can come – unless a miracle happens.

Wishing you many more anniversaries.

Love

Your cousin

Rose Staeheli Wells

P.S. Loved seeing you at Aunt Erma’s
