Designed specifically for passengers travelling with kids below 1.35 metres, Family vehicles are equipped with at least 1 child restraint to ensure a safe and reliable journey
You need 2 types of child restraints to join the Family services
Car seat: For toddlers between 1 - 3 years old and < 1 m tall
Belt restraint: For children between 4 - 7 years old and 1 - 1.35 m tall

Step 2: Book your on-site assessment
When you join the GrabFamily Loan Programme, you will receive a car seat (worth $299) on loan for a $200 refundable deposit
π‘ Earn at no extra cost: As long as you remain active and return the seat in its original condition, your deposit is fully refunded. It's additional income with zero upfront costs!
To stay active on Family, complete at least 4 rides per month on Kids (Age 1-7)
If you fail to meet the active status requirement for 3 consecutive months, you will not be eligible for a deposit refund
If you fail to fulfill the active status requirement for 3 consecutive months, the loaned car seat will be deemed sold to you at the retail price of $299
Deposit: Your $200 deposit will be forfeited and applied toward the cost
Top-up charge: A final charge of $99 will be billed to your account to cover the remaining balance
If you complete 3 or fewer rides in a month on Kids (Age 1-7), you will be considered inactive on Family
To help you stay on track, we will send monthly in-app notifications if your activity falls below the requirement so you can resume your active status and maintain eligibility
Alternatively, you may exit the programme at any time and receive a full deposit refund by returning the car seat in its original condition

You should only toggle on Family services when your child restraints are available and ready for use in your vehicle.
If you are found to be online without the required equipment, a strike will be issued to your account. Upon 3 strikes, your access to Family jobs will be removed.
The loaned car seat remains the property of Grab. Please ensure it is returned in its original condition, otherwise your deposit may be forfeited.
If you no longer wish to take Family jobs, please return the car seat to us at Grab@Tampines to process your refund and exit the programme.
No, this requirement applies exclusively to driver-partners under the GrabFamily Loan Programme.
This ensures that loaned car seats are being utilised effectively to provide a reliable service for families, while allowing us to better support our active driver-partners.
