How Will We Know if We Are Learning?

Throughout the semester I will check on your progress in developing the four communication skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in Spanish in addition to your knowledge of cultural topics utilizing a variety of methods. When appropriate, I will give you useful feedback and suggestions for improvement. My feedback comes in many forms that can include verbal comments, rubrics, written comments, and video and audio recordings. It is important to view feedback as useful information that, once acted upon, will then help you learn from your mistakes and improve your communication skills in Spanish.

A 90%-100%

B 80%-89%

C 70%-79%

D 60%-69%

F 59% and below

All final grades are rounded to the nearest whole percent.

Pass/No Pass Grade option is available. You must earn a "C" or better.

All of your course grades are automatically calculated in the Grades section in Canvas. In general, you will be able to view your up-to-date progress as you complete tasks and as I manually enter some scores.
