There are various noises in electrical devices and the noise margin is keep decreasing due to increased operation speed and decreased operation voltages. Also, standard specifications related to electromagnetic field radiation from the device are becoming tighter. Electromagnetic compatibility design ensures the operation of the device under various electromagnetic environments (self-generated noise/ external noise). We always try to define the dominant noise for the target design & analysis. For each noise factor, there are proper analysis methods, simulation techniques, and solutions.
We always approach the design based on EM theory and simulations. We strongly believe that, recent simulators are very accurate if used correctly with a proper background. Computational resources can be bottle-neck, but for those cases, we develop our own simulation methods: mixing tools, analytical modelings, assumptions, model simplification and more. Proper simulation allows not only ensure performance but also reduce unexpected design iterations, directly related to the cost. We also verify our proposed analysis methods and designs with experimental verification.
