Darren Honeywill

Darren Honeywill is a local freelance Videographer, based in Somerset. His work covers a wide range of commissions, including advertising for local businesses, creating music videos, and recording school events. I was introduced to Darren through my parents; they were being interviewed for a school website, and it was Darren who was filming and recording them.

I contacted Darren to ask if he had any upcoming projects which I could assist with. Two days later I was filming a local school's Spring Dance Showcase with him!

I met him before the show and helped him to set up the cameras. During the performance he wanted to record from two angles, so for the first act I was filming from straight-on with a handheld camera, then after the interval we swapped and I manned the camera on the tripod, filming from an angle. As well as recording the show, we also interviewed the dance teachers and pianist, and took photographs of the performers.
