Good morning!

I am about to post the below graphics and caption. I wanted to share directly with yall due to the impact this will have on the soccer matches at MBHS tomorrow. Please disseminate to whomever can inform the soccer teams and their opponents! Thanks so much.

The Ellis Porch annual Statue to Statue run will take place tomorrow, April 5, 2025! The race will begin near Vulcan Park in Birmingham at 8:00am, and runners will traverse through Mountain Brook to the finish line near Liberty Park at the VCA Liberty Animal Clinic.

Mountain Brook Police Officers will be stationed throughout the course to stop traffic while runners are in the roadway. Once the lead runner reaches the intersection of Overton Road and Oakdale Drive, MBPD Officers will implement traffic control measures to mitigate risks to runners and motorists alike. Please consult the attached traffic flow map as this closure will impact visitors to Mountain Brook High School. We are aware of the soccer matches taking place at MBHS, and all attendees will be directed to the rear entrance of the school once the traffic control measures are in place. We anticipate the race to conclude at approximately 11:00am at which point traffic will be permitted to flow normally.

Allow extra time when traveling around Mountain Brook tomorrow morning, and please be patient with any delays!
