I regret having to make this post involving fundraising. It is not my personality, nor my style. This is not to those players who are participating fully. However, we are doing our best to give your sons the best soccer experience in Alabama. Many schools our size charge over $500 dollars to play and still require fundraising. Other sports programs at our school require this much and more. Our school and the Board of Education is very fair and equitable in the funds they are able to provide for us. However, fundraising is highly important, when players work for things they tend to appreciate them more. Please read the post below in the context of the above statement.
First of all let me applaud the incredible job that many of our athletes and parents have done by putting in emails and sending texts and social media posts about our Snap fundraiser. Any negative comments in this post are not in any way addressed to you. I am very proud of all you have done.
Secondly, I understand that many have put in emails and sent text but have not raised any funds. This is sometimes the case and I wholeheartedly applaud you for putting in the work. I also recognize that a couple of players and or parents have simply sent in a donation instead of participating in the formal fundraiser.
Thirdly, I recognize the difficulty players currently playing other sports have in being able to participate fully.
However, there is no excuse for those players who have for whatever reason decided to not participate, not to send emails, etc.. This requires less than 5 minutes of your time and is a way that we can earn enough money to fund our program. We opted out of the Spring Raffle because I wanted to free up your sons to concentrate on playing. We have 3 days remaining and we really need to reach our goal. A goal that will help keep us on top of the area soccer pyramid. Parents, please get with your player and make sure they have participated to the fullest.
