Chapter 20 - Zhouzhou was Torn by a Dog

Perhaps at the moment of life and death, people really have unlimited potential.

Jiang Kezhou's intuition had never been so accurate. He almost realized that the dog had broken the cage when he heard the cracking sound. The room was terribly dark, and only a small amount of light penetrated through the broken windows. In this environment, the advantages of humans and dogs are suddenly reversed, and hunters with a keen sense of smell are clearly ready to go.

Everything was dazzling fast: a half-person tall black shadow rushed out of the cage, following the blood dripping from Jiang Kezhou's arm cut, and when he approached the source of the smell, his hind legs slammed on the ground and rushed. On the window sill, Jiang Kezhou's trousers were caught.

Jiang Kezhou was caught off guard, and was torn from a height by the brute who couldn't hold him back. Fortunately, the window sill was not high, and he could not break it when he fell. He even gave the dog a kick in the dark with the force of landing and kicked it out half a meter.

The black dog slammed the brakes on the spot, turned back in a flash, and barked menacingly in his throat. It did not attack rashly, but chose to test carefully. The sudden explosion of the prey in the darkness made it feel dangerous, but the alluring smell of blood still floated over, as if it continued to add firewood to its restless nerves. The two sides faced each other silently for a while, and then at a point in time that no one had expected, Jiang Kezhou decisively protected the carotid arteries on both sides when the wind hit, rolled on the spot, and pushed the dog's head out with an elbow. The black dog opened his mouth wide, and wanted to jump up and bite his throat. Under the heavy blow, the attack direction was forced to change, and he bit his shoulder with one bite. The sharp teeth were deeply embedded in the muscles, and the warm blood suddenly surged come out.

  It hurts too much.

It was so painful that he couldn't help it, and he roared with a broken and hoarse throat. It seemed that there was a smell of blood in the throat. His abrupt hands were digging in vain on the concrete floor, trying to grab something to get rid of the biting pain. While groping wildly, Jiang Kezhou suddenly touched a hard and cold iron chain, which was originally thrown in the corner to tie a dog cage.

Without being taught by others, he found a way to turn it into a murder weapon without a teacher.

The head of the big dog hung on the side of his neck, his foul breath sprayed over his neck, and a few centimeters higher was the carotid artery. His left shoulder may have been completely bitten through. Jiang Kezhou picked up one end of the iron chain and circled the dog's head, resisting the pain and raised his bloody left hand, wrapped the iron chain around his hand for a few turns, and his right hand fumbled and grasped another side tightly.

Then he opened his hands, suddenly exerted his force, and slammed it outward!

The iron chain wrapped around the dog's neck quickly tightened, sinking into the fur, tightly jamming its fragile throat. The big dog was strangled suddenly and started to move frantically.

The strength of this kind of dog is so great that even a person standing normally may not be able to hold it. Jiang Kezhou was lying on his back again. This was a position that was not easy to exert force. It all relied on the strength of his arms to tighten the chains. But at the moment, he could hardly feel the injured left shoulder, and everything around him was silent, as if there was only one unbreakable thought left between the world and the earth: strangling this beast.

It is like a famous scene in a certain novel, one person, one dog, and a life-and-death contest at the end of life.

For those who have not undergone training, as long as the arm muscles continue to exert strength for a period of time, they will begin to sore and tremble until they are completely weak. Jiang Kezhou's left hand was bleeding too much, and he had lost consciousness. When the only intact right hand began to tremble uncontrollably, he "cocked" in his heart, and a slight crack suddenly appeared in his mind without distractions.

The big dog who was also resisting seemed to be able to feel his shake, and immediately struggled even more frantically. Jiang Kezhou tried to tighten the chain again, but found that his arm had completely ignored his orders.

"Am I going to die?" he thought.

He died silently in such a dirty kennel, and when he was discovered, the body was cold.

The electronic chord rang happily in his pocket again, and in the dead and alive silence, it was abruptly like a heart booster, forcibly breaking Jiang Kezhou's almost stagnant thoughts.

His stiff left arm with excessive blood loss seemed to be a corpse, suddenly exerting force, the iron chain made a "knock" sound, and it stuck deeply into his palm.

The black dog's mouth opened to the largest extent, as if he wanted to bark, but he couldn't make any sound.

The blood runs along the end of the iron chain, drop by drop, splashing a flower of blood on the gray concrete floor.

  The phone is still ringing.

He don't know how long it took, maybe an hour, maybe only a few minutes, Jiang Kezhou felt that the force that resisted him suddenly disappeared. The big dog's heavy body collapsed suddenly, hitting him heavily on his chest, almost pounding him with a bit of blood.

He let his arms spread out, pushed the dog's corpse off his body with his knees, closed his eyes, took a few breaths, and accumulated strength several times before sitting on the ground. The fingers of his arm were already loose, and he couldn't even hold the iron chain, so he had to let it fall off by itself, bringing out a long blood trail.

The dog is dead, but the matter is not over yet.

Jiang Kezhou was like a zombie in a movie, with his arms hanging down unnaturally, he staggered up and walked to the window. He barely stepped on the empty iron cage on one side, climbed up the window sill and kicked open the window, and moved his legs out of the window. Then, in this posture of sitting by the window, he jumped down in a free fall.

Jiang Kezhou couldn't keep his balance, and when he landed, his ankle smashed, and his whole body suddenly lost his center of gravity. He simply rolled on the spot, unloading part of his strength.

It was snowing all over, colder than before.

Jiang Kezhou was mentally prepared to go out and meet a wall that he couldn't climb up. Who knows if it's extremely peaceful, the kidnapper went too hurriedly, leaving him with a four-open door, a dirt road several hundred meters long outside the door.

He looked back at this dark kennel in the bitter cold wind, and remembered its appearance firmly in his mind.

  Xihua Shengjing monitoring room.

There was a hidden camera in the backyard, which happened to capture the image of the only car driving out of the backyard tonight. Ye Zheng walked away from the public security system and began to investigate highway monitoring. Jiang Kezhou never answered the phone. Ye Zheng was afraid that if he kept calling, his cell phone would be dead. He always had a trace of luck, so he asked Yan Zhixing to call him once every ten minutes.

The surveillance video provided by the traffic police team showed that after the truck left the hotel, it drove north on the Fifth Ring Road, and then drove along National Highway 301 to the outskirts of the city. The latest dispatched camera was 40 minutes ago when the truck stopped in front of a toll gate.

Yan Zhixing listened to the monotonous and repetitive long tone in the microphone and couldn't help but glanced at Ye Zheng, who was staring at the monitor screen.

As an assistant, he knows Ye Zheng's physical condition better than anyone else. It is precisely because of this knowledge that he is even more surprised. How much weight does that man have in his heart, that makes Ye Zheng ignore it for him?

Not to mention that they have broken up.

Yan Zhixing went out of the world, and the phone no longer make a sound. He reacted and was about to hang up when a small electronic sound suddenly came out over there.

  "Hey... Ye Zheng?"

This voice was not expected at the moment, and Yan Zhixing's hand shivered severely: "Mr. Ye!"

Ye Zheng stood up and grabbed the phone: "Kezhou? It's me... Where are you now? Say something!"

"Ye Zheng, Ye Zheng... calm down, listen to me," this is the first time Jiang Kezhou has called him by his name. Maybe it's because of his low voice. It sounds unexpectedly kind. Gentle and comforting, "I was tied up, but now I have escaped. I didn't suffer serious injuries, but my hands were scratched. Don't worry."

"My phone is running out of battery, don't interrupt me, be quiet and listen to me."

His voice was calm and stable, and his breath was a little unstable, but every sentence was extremely determined, as if he had rehearsed it in his mind a long time ago, with a convincing sense of reliability. Ye Zheng reached out and pressed the speakerphone.

"First, check next to the city's suburbs, which have a national highway, medium and small kennel, West Huasheng Jing hotel about fifty minutes away by car. I was next to the kennels not far away from the national highway."

"Second, you have a drink tonight. If you want to follow along and find a driver, you must never drive by yourself. There is snow on the road here and the road is slippery. Be careful."

"Third, check the nearest kennel in the hospital, I accidentally injured on the iron window. I may need a shot of tetanus as soon as possible."

"And..." Jiang Kezhou paused for a moment, and suddenly coughed violently. Ye Zheng was heartbroken when he heard it. He was about to ask him what was going on. Jiang Kezhou gasped, cleared his throat, and said nonchalantly, "Just standing on the vent, I accidentally choked on the wind. It's okay."

"Nothing else, just those just now. The phone is almost out of power, I will hang up first."

After explaining these few sentences, he simply hung up the phone.

Ye Zheng frowned as he listened to the busy tone in the microphone.

It stands to reason that he was nervous all night, when he heard Jiang Kezhou's report that he was safe, he breathe a sigh of relief. But the faint anxiety that entangled his heart has never faded, but it has added a lot of doubts. It's not clear what's wrong, such a meticulous and proper arrangement is in line with Jiang Kezhou's usual style, but it is just too calm, so it is particularly disturbing.

Jiang Kezhou suddenly encountered this kind of pitfall in the sky and escaped from the dead. He was alone in the wilderness. Even if he had had similar experiences before, he could not be uneasy, and he could even think so thoroughly that he was told not to drive alone on the phone.

Is Jiang Kezhou incurable in the late stage of Notre Dame's disease, or does Ye Zheng love him so much that he doesn't even want his life?

Yan Zhixing found out the location mentioned by Jiang Kezhou: "Mr. Ye, there is only one according to what Mr. Jiang said. There is a small kennel near the 301 National Highway in the suburbs of the city, called Shunfa Dog Farm."

"I see." Ye Zheng putting on a coat and carrying the car key while walking, he said: "Zhixing, you can search the nearest hospital and go to stand by immediately."

Ye Jun walked over and said, "Let Fanchuan drive you. I will go back first. Call me later."

"Brother," Ye Zheng stopped and whispered in his ear, "Thank you for this matter today."

"You are my brother, don't talk about it. Don't worry," Ye Jun patted him, "go ahead."
