Before studying games, I spent 2 years in a Business Computing course in TUD I was the Class Rep during this time. When COVID hit, I reflected and decided I wanted to focus my career in games. I withdrew and enrolled in BCFE Games Production & 3D Graphics. Graduating with a Distinction Profile, I enrolled in the Higher National Diploma in Advanced Games Production & Design. I finished this two year course in April and earned my place in the Degree in Game design awarded by Ballyfermot College and the Univesity of Dundee.
Besides this I have a long background in games from when I was very young. When I was young I loved games like Little big planet and Skate 3, particularely the level editors. I spent countless hours in these games and modes. When I grew older my competitive side began to grow and I spent a large amount of time running 8s with my friends in COD. Eventually I started to play Apex legends at a somewhat high level and grew a massive interest for Esports.
I believe the love I have for creating levels from when I was young, and the understanding of high level competitive play from more recent years has given me a unique perspective on how to approach level & game design and I am very excited about the future of games in general.
Outside of games I have 5 years of experience in the Hospitality industry working in Restaurants, Hotels and pubs. During these years I gained invaluable experience working alongside a diverse team full of people from all over the world. I completed a Barista course in April and am now working in Lána Coffee on Dame Lane. This has allowed me to shift into a more 9-5 schedule so I have more time for working on projects I love, completing my online Udemy courses, Upskilling in Unreal and Blueprints and spending time with the friends I've made along the way.
