The practicum procedure was organized into two stages: observation and demonstration.
In the first week, I undertook observations in Sir Renier's classes, focusing specifically on the Childminding and Kindergarten 2 groups. Each class was supported by several cooperating teachers who facilitated the learning sessions. I observed both classes twice. During these observations, I noted that the children in the Childminding class actively participated in the teacher-led activities. In the Kindergarten 2 class, the students demonstrated attentiveness to the teacher's instructions.
The second week involved the preparation of a lesson plan and accompanying instructional materials for the Kindergarten 2 class. The focus of the lesson was on addition with two- and three-digit single-digit numbers. Under the guidance of the cooperating teacher, I developed a garden-themed lesson. Following the approval of the lesson plan by my academic supervisor, I collaborated with my peers to create the necessary instructional materials.
In the third week, I conducted my demonstration in the Kindergarten 2 class for approximately one hour. The session proceeded smoothly and adhered to the planned lesson plan.
Finally, during the fourth week, we were allocated time to complete our practicum reports and to make arrangements for our return to our home country.Â
