Mr. Christian Renier Pola, MAEd, is an esteemed mentor and educator who teaches the Childminding and Kindergarten 2 classes. In my observations of his classroom, it is evident that he consistently begins each session with a warm greeting, prioritizing the establishment of rapport with his students. This approach fosters an engaging and effective learning environment.
Sir Renier employs a holistic teaching methodology that includes student-centered discussions. He articulates the lesson material with clarity and precision, using language that is intentionally simple and accessible for young learners. Each session commences with a worship activity, followed by brief, motor-skill-stimulating videos, such as the "chicken dance," to invigorate the students.
Throughout his lessons, he regularly conducts brief reviews to reinforce previously learned concepts, ensuring that students remain connected to the material. Student participation is actively encouraged, and their engagement is reflected in their willingness to answer questions. At the conclusion of each class, he instills a sense of responsibility in his students by guiding them to return their chairs to designated areas and to line up in an orderly fashion before dismissal.Â
