Upon my arrival at the University of Northern Philippines (UNP), I was warmly welcomed at the Balay Alumni Hall. This initial reception fostered a profound sense of warmth and acceptance. The students buddies were attentive and guided us to our accommodations with great care, ensuring that we felt like members of the UNP family.
I was particularly impressed by the educational framework at the UNP Labschool. The students in the Childminding and Kindergarten 2 programs displayed remarkable cooperation and actively engaged in the learning process. Several cooperating teachers provided invaluable support in assisting me with the design of lesson plans and instructional materials. Additionally, my faculty advisor was exceptionally approachable, offering consistent guidance and imparting essential teaching skills necessary for effectively educating young students.
Moreover, I had the privilege of exploring the beauty of Vigan City and its surrounding areas during the Dalliasat activity. This initiative aimed to enhance awareness of Ilocano life and language among Southeast Asian Teachers. Throughout the activity, we visited museums and beaches, as well as explored the city, all complemented by informative and flexible educational guidance. This experience allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of Filipino culture, the natural landscape, and the daily life of the local community.
In summary, I am profoundly grateful for this program, which has provided me with valuable insights and experiences that will contribute to my development as a teacher. The warmth and kindness extended to us at UNP made each day not only enriching but also deeply fulfilling.Â
