The Specialist Tactical Rifle Officer rank is the highest non-command position within SCO-19 and is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious operational ranks within the CMG Police Service.
As an STRO, you are still recognised as an OFC, meaning you retain the ability to conduct examinations, deliver training sessions, and assist in the development of other firearms officers. Like TROs, STROs are also members of the Marksman Team, a select group of highly trained officers entrusted with specialist capabilities.
The STRO rank signifies a level of experience, trust, and professionalism that sets you apart from your peers. Due to this, STROs are authorised to patrol carrying both an Assault Rifle and a Sniper Rifle simultaneously, providing them with the flexibility to respond effectively to a wide range of operational situations.
As one of the division's most senior operational roles, STROs are expected to lead by example, uphold the highest standards of conduct, and serve as role models for all members of SCO-19.
