Thus far, the Witch's first confirmed appearance in Scarlet Hollow is 1918.
After the 1918 mine collapse, Enoch Scarlet consulted the Witch about the Scarlet family's problems. Enoch's younger brother Teddy had been paralyzed in the collapse; the mining facility was destroyed; and the town's (and the Scarlets') livelihood was in jeopardy. According to Enoch, the Witch had a solution that would take care of all of the Scarlets' problems in one fell swoop.
In 1944, Charlie Shaw Jr. consulted the Witch for advice on running away with Edwardine Scarlet. The Witch gave Charlie a map and a poem/spell to recite, and insisted that Edwardine must be present for it to work.
