The Entity appeared to Charlie Shaw in 1944 at Scarlet Estate. An obvious prisoner of the estate, the Entity described himself as the Scarlet's victim.
The Entity warned Charlie that he would die if he stayed in Scarlet Hollow, and he encouraged Charlie to use his "healthy legs" and run away forever.
Clues so far indicate that the Entity may be Teddy Scarlet, transformed after the 1918 mine collapse by the Witch. Charlie first mistook the Entity for one of Edwardine's brothers, which implies a Scarlet family resemblance. Edwardine was familiar with the Entity, telling Charlie not to listen to "it."
