Students-Parents Gathering Programme
(Skill-Based Activity Event at Schools)

1.     Student-Parents Gathering programme (Skill-Based Activity Event)

LSF was able to create some beautiful SarvaPrathamik moments in March 2023. When our facilitators arranged gatherings for primary school children and their parents - this was so parents could be drawn into the schools to participate and work together with their children.

The closing events were arranged in 15 villages over the 15th and 25th of March, and over 500 parents in total attended. They paid close attention and observed how their children had imbibed various age-appropriate skills through activities and innovative learning material, taken up throughout the academic year.

Parents and children had the opportunity to work together on an hour-long assignment of creating 3D paintings on their chosen subject. In essence, the rural parents not only participated in the child's learning activity but also understood and appreciated the need for wholesome education at an early age, in shaping the future of the child.

Activities chosen for skill-based subjects are given below;

a.      Letters –

Letters-related activities are given to students & parents for preparation and presentation, like upper and lowercase English letters and their sounds.

 b.     Colours –

Colour-related activities like rainbow ice-cream, colour seeds, colour charts, concrete objects, colour cloth pieces, and colorful butterflies. Students identified colours and gave a small presentation in front of the class.
