Reporting Incidents & Accidents

Any accidents that involve injury will be documented. Major injuries that constitute ‘reportable injuries’ will be reported to the Department of Health and Human Services, CCL. Parents will be notified of injuries in keeping with the ‘Emergency and Major Incidents’ policy. ‘Incidents’, which include major behavioral incidents and any major negative occurrence that is not an accident, will also be documented by the teacher in an Incident Report on Brightwheel. Parent communication will likely occur through Brightwheel for minor injuries or through a phone call for more serious injuries. Please make sure all parent, guardian and emergency contact phone numbers are in Brightwheel.
