Toileting

If your child is in diapers (actively training before snow pants season). . . Please bring in a box of disposable diapers and a container of wet wipes for your child, labeled with his/her name.  You will be notified in person or through Brightwheel when your child’s supply needs replenishing. Please check your child’s pack daily for a dry change of clothes as well as notices regarding replacement of diapers/wipes.  Providing two complete sets of extra clothing is usually advisable. Licensing regulations do not allow us to rinse, soak, or wash cloth diapers at Saplings.

NOTE:  State licensing regulations allow the use of cloth diapers in child care programs only if the diapers are cleaned by a diaper service.  Diapers cleaned at home are not allowed at Saplings unless the parent provides a doctor’s note stating that the child cannot wear service-cleaned diapers due to allergies.  We ask for parents’ cooperation with this licensing requirement.

Only a limited number of diapered children can be accepted due to the nature of the program (i.e., being out in the forest, snow pants, rain pants…) After age 3 y 6 m, diapered children are an additional $2/day.
