Georgiana Seccombe (Gr. 9)
Making a book trailer was challenging in many ways. First of all Japanese isn’t my first language so reading a 300-page book with many Kanji that I couldn’t read proved to be hard. Second of all editing and taking videos is also not one of my strong points so that was difficult as well. However, with much perseverance, I managed to pull through and complete an acceptable trailer. Despite all of these obstacles I managed to create a trailer which was a great learning experience and hopefully developed my Japanese skills and my filmmaking skills.
You seem to understand the book well. Narration and background music convey the message and create the mood well. The camera work and acting are great. However, you are supposed to be creating a bilingual trailer. How much would a non-Japanese speaker understand your trailer? Considering the audience would improve your trailer.
