Digital etiquette, rights and responsibilities

Digital etiquette can be defined as the electronic standards of conduct or procedure. As members of a digital society, we are asked to do what is best for the larger group. To do this, we we must think how our technology use affects others. Good digital citizens respect others and learn ways to use technology respectfully and effectively. These issues were addressed in the workshops:

  • Using technology in ways that minimize the negative effects on others.
  • Using technology when it is contextually appropriate.
  • Respecting others online: not engaging in cyberbullying, flaming, inflamatory language...
