Workshops

All the workshops implemented in the mobility programmes were focused on the elements of digital citizenship and were designed to show useful digital tools and to teach and introduce students and teachers practical skills, techniques, methods and ideas that can be used at school. Also the main goal of the workshops was to instil a sense of awareness when it comes to posting, sharing, shopping online or doing any technology-related activities encouraging participants to stay online in a positive, critical and respectful way. During the workshops the students were encouraged to ask themselves:

  • Do we have a good understanding of how a particular technology works and how using this technology can affect me as well as others?
  • Have we learned about the potential problems or issues related to this technology?
  • What rules govern the acceptable use of this technology?

The workshops were conducted by experts and teachers and involved participation and group discussion. The groups were always organised in mixed international teams and the workshops were often followed up by some creations or by presenting some kind of conclusion, so the participants had a chance to practise the techniques, skills or tools that were under discussion.
