TANAUAN, LEYTE, August 31, 2024 – Underscoring the importance of community engagement in fostering sustainable livelihood projects and uplifting the lives of marginalized farmers, fifty four (54) development workers from the Department of Agriculture - Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) in Eastern Visayas were capacitated during the Training on Community Organizing towards Social Mobilization, held from August 27 to 31, 2024 in Tanauan, Leyte.
SOUTHERN LEYTE - A year after receiving the egg production project from the Department of Agriculture - Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD), the (MARE) CARES Hinapo Women’s Association of Tomas Oppus, Southern Leyte was able to generate a total gross income of Php 787,631.

Mat-e, Merida, Leyte attended a two-day training on agricultural marketing and enterprise under the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) of the Department of Agriculture.

Camiguin Island, Region X, July 31, 2024 - During the recently concluded DA-SAAD Program Phase 2 FY 2024 Midyear Assessment held in Region X, the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office 8 reported 74.7% obligation rate from its approved allocation of Php 118,750,000 for Fiscal Year 2024, placing 2nd out of fifteen regions.
