ALMERIA, BILIRAN - A group of farmers from Barangay Pili, Almeria, Biliran has achieved remarkable success in their egg layer project, recording ₱412,246.00 in gross sales from January to June this year. 

VICTORIA, NORTHERN SAMAR - Having an operating expense at Php 38,340.00, they reached Php 185,080.00 total sales. The impressive net income of Php 146,732.00 emphasized the effective and efficient technologies they applied in their vegetable farming.

ALMERIA, BILIRAN - After deducting all production costs, the farmers managed to save a collective Php 170,000 since last year, a remarkable feat considering most members had little to no access to formal livelihood before joining SAAD. 

SAMAR - This initiative educated the farmers on the correct recording of the associations’ physical and financial transactions for them to easily monitor their farming activities, serving as a key tool to improve their data organization and agricultural enterprise sustainability. 

NORTHERN SAMAR - As part of its goal of achieving food security while honing the entrepreneurial skills of its beneficiaries, the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program Phase 2 conducted a series of training to partner farmer-associations in Northern Samar this month of June.

LIBAGON, SOUTHERN LEYTE – A group of 23 farmers from Libagon, Southern Leyte, has achieved a significant milestone after recording a total gross income of Php255,947.00 from a successful harvest of 4,607 kilograms of assorted vegetables between March and May this year.

BILIRAN, BILIRAN - Following a year of operations, the 30 members of Pinangomhan Farmers Association of Biliran, Biliran recorded a gross sales of PhP 1.2 million from the enterprise.

BILIRAN PROVINCE — The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program in Eastern Visayas has successfully concluded the series of capacity building activities for the Province of Biliran, strengthening the interpersonal competencies and organizational management skills of farmer-beneficiaries.

MARIPIPI, BILIRAN – Forty (40) farmers from Maripipi Island in Biliran province recently completed a training on capacity building, spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture - Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Program. 

JIABONG, SAMAR - Sixteen (16) youth members of the Casapa Livestock Raisers Association (CLiRA) proved that an agricultural enterprise achieving over a million pesos is not a far reach. 

TACLOBAN CITY - Farmers assisted by the Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Program tapped into new market opportunities through their active participation in the Kadiwa ng Pangulo trade fair, held in celebration of the Filipino Food Month. 

MERCEDES, EASTERN SAMAR - Apart from achieving its three main goals– bolstering food security, complementing DA Banner Programs, and transforming beneficiaries into thriving Community-based Enterprises (CBEs), the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program Phase 2 goes far and beyond from just being an agricultural initiative. The same program is also extending a hand to its beneficiaries in times of dire need.
