My name is Janina Schulz and this is my 24th year teaching at Edison High School. I have taught all levels of English classes for grades 9-12. This year I am very excited to teach AP Language and AP Seminar. I am also the AP Instructional Coordinator for Edison, a job I share this year with Senora Ibarra. On Tuesday evenings I teach a class in the teacher education program at Fresno Pacific University.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Fresno State. My single subject English credential and Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Teaching, are from Fresno Pacific University. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2018 and I completed my maintenance of certification in 2023. Starting in the fall of 2022, I began a doctoral program in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education through Indiana University, which I will complete this fall.
I have been married to my husband for 23 years and we have two children (9th and 11th grades).
