Niels Beugeling

The Bush Stone Curlew is one of Australia’s endangered birds, its endemic to Australia and lives mainly during nighttime.

It's losing his habitat very quickly due to deforestation and the disappearance of woodlands. This bird with the big eyes, more reminiscent of those of an owl, is therefore losing his hideaways and breeding grounds.

Niels Beugeling (1965) is a Dutch artist and curator. His work ranges between photography and drawing. Exhibitions of his work have mainly been shown in Amsterdam and Berlin in recent years. Since 2018, he lives in Berlin, where he runs art institution Het Verwalterhaus, a space for contemporary art and culture.
