Universal Press Syndicate created promotional kits to encourage newspaper editors to publish the strip. 

The heart of my collection is recreating the complete collection of Calvin and Hobbes in newsprint. 

There were only a handful of items that were created under the approval of Bill Watterson and the syndicate.

Bill Watterson's artwork appeared in a few museum exhibits.
