"The Sad Sack" by George Baker started in May 1946. This might have been the inspiration for Bill Watterson's Angouleme Festival poster.

For a moment it seems like a normal switch, but Joker is usually fighting Batman.
September 1987
New York Newsday Sunday comics section dated July 20, 1986, with a major misprint error on the inside pages, which created a very unusual result.
Even though this comics section doesn't include Calvin and Hobbes I wanted to own it to show how sloppy newspaper printing can be.
