2. Refund policy if determined to be fake after purchase.
3. Be listed in the correct category (this usually is not a problem since Bill Watterson’s signature was not licensed to be printed on items like how famous athletes might be)

Authentic autographs and autographed items can be highly sought after items, and in some cases may be extremely rare and valuable.
Our policy on the sale of autographs and autographed items provides guidance to keep all of our members safe when buying or selling on eBay.
Autographs are commonly sold with Certificates of Authenticity (COA) or letters of authenticity (LOAs). COAs and LOAs can offer assurance that an autograph is genuine, but you need to be sure the authenticator is reputable.
Include as much information as you can about the autograph and the item it's been written on. To help your buyer understand exactly what they're buying, we recommend including the following:
A clear photo of the autographed item
A clear photo of the COA or LOA, as well as the name of the person or company issuing the certificate
Your refund policy
If you're listing an authorized pre-printed autograph, they should generally be listed in the Autographs > Reprints category. For full details, read our policy below.
Since autographed items and trading cards are unique, they can be very valuable, but are also easy to forge or reproduce. Autographs are commonly sold with certificates of authenticity (COAs) and letters of authenticity (LOAs), while trading cards use a grading system. COAs, LOAs, and grades are meant to assure the buyer that the signature or item is genuine. However, COAs, LOAs, and grades are only as valuable as the reputation of the issuing party, so it's important to know the reputation of each authenticator or grader.
We investigate concerns from our members in regard to autographs, COAs, LOAs, and trading cards. As part of this policy, we work with several reputable third parties. These third parties may use known authentic autograph examples to determine if these items are genuine or "likely not genuine." If they have concerns about an item’s authenticity, eBay may remove the listing from the site.
Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn’t, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.
You can list autographed items and most trading cards on eBay. These guidelines will help you successfully sell these types of items on our website.
Things to do
Be sure to include the following information in your listing:
A clear photo of the actual autographed item
A clear photo of the COA or LOA
Information about the COA or LOA, including the name of the person or company issuing the certificate
Refund policy, in case a reputable dealer informs us or the buyer that the item is "likely not authentic"
Authentic and authorized pre-printed autographs or autographed items should generally be listed in the Autographs-Reprints category. An authorized pre-printed autograph means a company has acquired the rights to accurately reproduce the original signed item
Things not to do
Don't list items that contain authentic pre-printed autographs in the Autographs-Original categories. An example of this would be a pre-printed autographed photo of a celebrity that is contained in a press kit
COAs and LOAs let buyers know that the signature is "likely genuine." They also benefit sellers by helping to increase the value of their autographed items.
There are many reputable autograph experts, and eBay has identified a partial list of authenticators
for your benefit. These authenticators offer various services for buyers and sellers of autograph.

The seller needs to include a clear photo of the graded trading card, showing the name or logo of the grading company.

For Lori & Brett,
Description from owner:
"So this is amazing. A boss I had at an old job asked us all what autograph we would want if we could have one. I said Bill Watterson, knowing it would be practically impossible to get. My boss was able to find everyone in the office the autograph they wanted except me.
Well, until now! He tracked me down from across the country and said he had something for me. I'd long forgotten about the conversation. Today in the mail came a signed copy of Yukon Ho he found on eBay! Apparently he spoke with the woman Bill signed it for, and her father was his insurance agent. He gave it to them as a wedding present. I'm still shocked and in disbelief. What an incredible gift!"

Dear Nancy. July 24, 1987
Bill Watterson Calvin and Hobbes Signed Correspondence (Universal Press Syndicate, 1987).
In the summer of 1987 Disney animator, Nancy Beiman wrote to cartoonist Bill Watterson with the offer to exchange some of her original animation drawings of Tigger in exchange for an original Calvin and Hobbes comic strip. Offered in this lot is his typed and hand-signed response, mailed to her on July 24th of that year.
In it, he informs her that he is not interested in exchanging artwork, but that he is fond of the character Tigger and that he has an admiration for animation when done well.
It is signed "W.B. Watterson" on the lower-left. The letter is on 8.5" x 11" stationary with Calvin and Hobbes artwork on both the letterhead and postmarked envelope which is included. The letter has two horizontal fold creases and the envelope was torn open along the right end.
Condition is Very Good.

Description:
"I was sitting in a class at Moody Bible Institute(Current Trends in Theology) when the name Thomas Hobbes came up... I thought... Thomas Hobbes... a Political Philosopher from England... John Calvin... a Conservative Theologian... I wonder if this is where Bill Watterson came up with his names for his epic comic...
When I originally wrote him, I was looking for an envelope to send it to him. I was working old Culbertson Residence Hall desk. In one of the old desks off to the side, I found an envelope with gold embossed lettering... The return address was, "from the office of the President of Moody Bible Institute". I thought it was a very Calvin type of move to send it in this envelope. Several weeks later I received this awesome response!
Typed on his own typewriter, pre-spell-check - notice his misspelling of characters. He signed it and it has been one of my favorite treasures. My wife framed it for me when I graduated with my Master's Degree."

Backstory:
"Back in 1987, Paul and I wrote a letter to Bill Watterson to tell him how much we loved the first Calvin and Hobbes book and to send him a copy of our "Paul Cezanne" single.
If I remember correctly, we told him that previously our three favorite books of all time were The Odyssey, The Bible, and One Hundred Years of Solitude, but that Calvin and Hobbes had knocked The Odyssey out of the top three. We also asked him if he would create artwork for our album, a request he understandably ignored. His wonderful reply below."

Dear Mr Gran
December 31, 1985
Rare large collection of signed Bill Watterson of Calvin and Hobbes letters.
Sold: Feb 25, 2017
Auction listing description:
Up for sale is this scarce and rarely available collection of Bill Watterson fan correspondence. This chain of letters and one postcard spans over seven years. This persistent fan nickname Buzzy tried over and over to get Bill to trade an original Peanuts and Pogo cartoon strip for one of his Calvin and Hobbes originals. Bill clearly showed his legendary attitude towards releasing any of his work to the public. Ironically Bill did give Buzzy a valuable collection of his signatures and written insight to his witty humor.
In his career doing Calvin and Hobbes Bill Watterson rarely signed and corresponded. Buzzy just seem to hit a chord with Bill that he couldn't resist. With this lot, you're getting a clear story of Bill's dealings with Martin "Buzzy" Gran. Not just one but five signed letters and one super cool and clever postcard. You will more than likely never find a Bill Watterson collection like this for sale again.
If you do a search for Buzzy Gran and Bill Watterson you will see the famous, super funny drawing. On the web search, you can view that the Calvin and Hobbes / Buzzy Gran drawing sold on Heritage Auction back in 2007 for $14,101. Also on Heritage Auction, you can see that a Bill Watterson strip was sold on November 16, 2012, for a World Record Breaking Price for a comic strip of $203,150. Supply and demand is the driving force behind truly authentic Bill Waterson, Calvin and Hobbes signed items. You can be 100% sure these are truly authentic signed Bill Watterson letters.
Included in this collection is:
(A) Signed WB Watterson 5"x 8" letter dated December 31, 1985, and postmarked envelope. This first letter has also been fully authenticated by PSA DNA including a Letter of Authenticity. #AB09504
(B) One hilarious hand-typed four-part questioner postcard dated April 21, 1986, with his handwritten response to Buzzy's offer to trade a Peanuts strip for one of his Calvin and Hobbes originals.
(C) Signed Bill on 8 1/2" x 11" Calvin and Hobbes stationary letter with envelope dated September 12, 1986.
(D) Signed Bill Watterson on 8 1/2" x 11" Calvin and Hobbes stationary letter with Calvin and Hobbes postmark envelope dated November 20, 1986.
(E) Signed WB Watterson 5" x 8" letter with postmarked envelope dated June 11, 1987.

I'm pretty sure there would be conditions on the donation.
