Accomplishments and Challenges in the past week

  • Parts organized and ordered
  • Base manufactured & assembled (Decided to fabricate base of our own)
  • Electronics board plotted, starting assembly
  • Motor mount design completed and 3D printed for testing
• Challenges
  • Further brainstorming for hopper design. Now that bean bags are smaller and will fall flat most times, a linear actuator that pushes the bean bag off the ledge and into the catapult arm is feasible.
  • Didn't have the parts to make much progress in the electronics and software side, waiting on delivery.

Plan for this week 4

• Finalize motor mount design and 3D print
• Design mounts for the pivot arm and 3D print
• Complete assembly of pivot arm
• Assemble electronics board
