This day was a spirit day where many clubs held booths under the bridge for fund raising. My friends and I were part of the SerWIS Club, and SerWIS Club was planning to hold a booth for activity of ping pong toss where people pay money to play and raise funds for Medical Kits for children in slums. My friends and I were responsible for making a poster for the booth. Through this experience, I realized that even though I am not good at drawing, I know how to decorate a poster by using several materials without drawing. Therefore, my friends drew on the poster, and I helped decorating the poster by using ribbons I had at home. I also learned to cooperate with my friends, and we were able to create one poster only using study halls we had on that day. (Luckily, we had 5 periods of study hall that day as it was Wednesday.)

This was my third MUN conference, and I realized that I was getting more and more confident and comfortable being in conferences as I gain more experiences. I remember that I was feeling panicked and very nervous in my first MUN conference. Compared to then, I was getting used to it much more and I was able to participate more than ever. This time, I participated in writing a resolution paper much more than before as I understood much more about what was going on. People in my committee were all friendly and very kind, so that may be why I was feeling more comfortable. People who worked to write a resolution paper with me taught me about what is better to include and not include, and I learned a lot from them. My committee this time was EU. Because both of the questions this time (about Brexit and about sustainable development) were familiar for me, discussion in this conference was very interesting, and it helped me understand each European country's stance. I am looking forward to the next MUN conference.

I made these handicrafts for selling at the booth of PAWS in December.
I loved handicrafts and making accessories and key chains from my childhood. I learned how to crochet when I was still a primary student by learning from my grandmother in the beginning and watching YouTube tutorial videos. Although my school life has been busy from middle school, I still enjoy crocheting in long breaks like summer breaks or when I want to make one for someone as a birthday gift. Although crocheting sounds like a grandma's hobby, I think it is cool to have a skill like that and so far I have not met anyone at my age who can crochet. I personally like spending time by myself, so I enjoy crocheting, and even though I have made a lot of things from crochet now, I think there is still a lot more for me to master crocheting as we can make anything out of yarns and there are a lot of things I have not made yet. This time, I made these heart shaped and cat shaped cell phone straps. Because PAWS is about helping cats, I made cat shaped straps.
I learned how to make bows in later primary years as well because my mother was taking a course on it and she taught me how to make. Comparing to the bows that my mother make, I found out that I am good at finding colors and matching them to make bows that look popular to children. This may be because I started making bows when I was small and I loved colorful colored bows. Therefore, now, my mother depends on me to make bows for children. Although I got busier in school life these years, I still enjoy making bows for gifts for my friends or for myself sometimes. This time, I made these bows. Colorful ones are mainly for primary students and the simple colored ones are for older students.
I also made book marks. I remember, in my previous international school I went to before coming to Wells, we also had booth fair and me and my friends made about 40 book marks to sell and donate earnings to the organization that help blind people's community. There, I was the one that made the motifs that go with the book marks. I remembered that, and I made the same here, too. I thought that I could make a stiff book mark by using tissue box after I finished using all tissue papers and covering it with origami papers I had from my childhood. Therefore, I could make book marks with what I already have.
Next time, I want to make something larger, because I tend to give up quickly when it comes to something that takes a long time.

In October, I heard that my friends in the same grade were making soap in their chemistry class for their mid-term project. Hearing that, my friend and I went to talk to their chemistry teacher, Ms. Tanya, and asked if she can teach us, too, how to make soap. We were interested because we have never heard about making own soap, and it sounded fun because it is like a science experiment but we can also get the soap we made by ourselves. Since we liked to make things by ourselves, this was a great opportunity to learn a new thing. Thankfully, Ms. Tanya allowed us to come after school to learn from her. On the first day in early November, an experienced student from chemistry class, Milan from the same grade, and Ms. Fon from science department also came along to teach us. Thanks to their help, it went well for the first time, but we wanted to try making more.
In total, we made soap 5 times this semester. As we got more experienced, we learned some tips. However, there were some times when Ms. Tanya scolded us for not being careful enough because we use dangerous chemical in soap making. Then, Ms. Tanya told us that me and my friend have different personalities and different things that we are good at and not so good at, and she told us that my friend and I should divide work and do things that we are good at. For example, in soap making, there are times when we should do things slowly and times when we should do quickly. My friend was good at doing things quickly, but I was good at doing things slowly one by one. I agreed with what Ms. Tanya told us, and by doing so, towards the end, our soap making went very smoothly.

I joined the Youths for SDGs for the first time this year. Because we had another lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic, we had this event online. This was a new experience for me, and I enjoyed it.
On the day 1, after hearing some people's SDGs Talk, we had the case challenge/cracking, where we get into teams, come up with our own solution to the given issue that currently exists, and make a presentation video. The issue given this year was about the growing number of youths unemployment due to Covid-19 pandemic. The teammates were my close friends from my school, so it was not scary, but rather chilled. However, during case cracking, I got into a bit of quarrel with one of my teammates because the issue given was very hard to solve for us, the first timers, and we kept on disagreeing with each others' ideas. Nevertheless, in the end, we were able to agree on one idea and successfully created our presentation. At the end, I was glad that I could work with my teammates, and it was fun working together to come up with our own solution to the real current issue.
On the day 2, we had breakout sessions in the morning, where we go into 3 different breakout rooms that we are interested in, out of 10 rooms in total, for about 30-45 minutes each. Because I was interested in topics related to society and innovation, I went into those breakout rooms, and I learned the current situation of the world on that topic. We discussed how we can solve existing issues as well, such as poverty and substance abuse. There, I was chosen as the engager for superlatives in 2 breakout sessions. Because it was my first time being chosen in the superlatives in such event, I was very happy. Because I had always been quiet and speechless in these types of events, such as MUN conferences, so I was very glad to be chosen as the engager this time, and this made me realize that I am making some progress. Aside from this, my team joined the photo/video campaign based on this year's slogan, "Small steps, big changes!", and our group got 4th place. Although we were not chosen for the case challenge, as a first timer, I am very happy for being chosen as the engager, and getting 4th place in the photo campaign. I would love to join next year as well.

I have been in World Scholar's Cup club in my school since middle school, but I had never been to any competition. All the regional rounds were canceled due to Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, our club advisor, Ms. Nikki, and our club leaders organized this event for us. This was the debate competition in the club. There were 2 rounds, first round in pairs and the final round in 2 groups. Unfortunately, I did not pass through the first round, but I learned several things. My partner in the first round was someone that I do not work too often. Therefore, we were not used to each others' style, but we were able to accomplish speaking in a debate as a pair. I cannot say that I am good at debating, although I have been doing it for quite some time, because I still get nervous and cannot speak in a organized manner in front of an audience. However, I still try to learn from talented speakers, like a pair whom my pair went against in the first round. I think that this event was a good experience for me because it was not like a usual practice debate, but a competition that altered the regional round that was canceled, for us to still enjoy during the times of pandemic.

I participated in the ServICE conference online due to Covid-19 pandemic. It was mainly listening to others' speeches and presentations, but I sometimes also asked questions or engaged in a discussion. In total, there were about 15 keynote speakers (speeches) and 11 How-To sessions (presentations and discussions). Through this 2 day event, I got to know many issues that exist in today's world, and what we, the students, can do to make the world a better place. The most interesting speech was the speech done by the actual refugee who talked about her real experiences, and this was very touching. One of the most interesting How-To sessions was the presentation done by a 7th grade student. Her presentation was about raising funds for wild elephants that have hard time living due to urbanization. I was inspired by a younger student caring about an environmental issue and spreading awareness in a fascinating manner. Overall, I learned a lot of new valuable things through this event.

This was the 4th MUN conference I attended. This time was virtual again as the pandemic situation was getting worse. In this conference, we discussed about how we can provide equal distribution of medical care during the pandemic, which is certainly applicable to the current real world situation. Through this conference, I was able to learn more about issues regarding the pandemic situation which is happening in reality. Because it was virtual, I felt more comfortable speaking in the conference, and I felt like I asked more POIs (Point Of Information, questions regarding the speeches made by other delegates) than I ever did in previous conferences. Furthermore, in this conference, I voluntarily made the speech for the first time. Although I became nervous while speaking, and not many people were convinced by my speech, I still felt accomplishment because it was my first time making a speech in a MUN conference.

During Songkran break this year, I spent a few days doing crochet. Although I had been doing crochet for years, I wanted to continue doing it because it is very fun and relaxing. I usually watch YouTube videos on how to crochet each thing. This time, I crocheted 10 small cake shaped containers. Although I sometimes want to buy new materials so I can make better quality ones, I used yarns that I still have at home to not waste them. I felt very accomplished when I finished making all these, and this made me want to crochet more when I have free time. However, I realized that my fingers were hurting after making a few, so I would need to learn to rest and do it without hurting myself.
