4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
I started learning Muay Thai at the gym that my mother started going to earlier this year. I have actually tried going to the Muay Thai gym a few years ago, but I couldn't commit to it that time. This time, I'm actually managing to go at least once a week.
Kicking was fun and familiar for me when I just started, because I have learned cheer dance when I was in primary school, and I had a lot of experience in kicking. However, punching was new to me, and I first struggled due to uncomfortableness of wearing gloves and inability to punch like how I imagine. After going to the gym for a few months, I got used to punching with gloves on, and now I enjoy punching as much as I enjoy kicking. I hope this weekly Muay Thai has been a good exercise for me, and I hope I'm being stronger over time, in case of emergency in the future.

CAS Learning Outcomes:
1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth
5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively
For Sports Day this year, I played badminton doubles, volleyball, and treasure diving. Although I have played these sports often in the past, I haven't played in a while, so I think it was a good chance to be back to playing these again. I found these activities fun after not playing for a while.
My strength would be that I still remember how to play each sport that I have played in the past. However, my area for growth is to keep on playing these once in a while, because after not playing for a while, my muscle weakened, so I couldn't exert enough strength. I also learned more about team work again, as badminton doubles is a pair work, volleyball is a team work, and treasure diving was also a team work based on how efficient we take care of our own roles. It was difficult dividing work in the team or pair, but I learned that this is important for efficient team work to succeed. For example, in treasure diving, we divided areas that each of us take care of, but we ended up not touching one area which had a lot of coins. However, I still believe that it was a good improvisation as we did not know about rules beforehand.
As I am part of the student council, I also participated in planning the Sports Day and getting enough people signed up for each event. Although there were some troubles getting people signed up fairly, I was able to convince many people to volunteer to fill in empty spots and back out when others wanted to play. As many of my classmates helped in this, I could not have done this alone.

I started learning dance only one and a half week before the performance. I was first not willing to do it, by peer pressure, I found myself joining the team. Although I had been dancing in the past, I had never performed dancing at school right now. Although I was nervous if I could accomplish this at first, I found myself actually enjoying learning the dance and practicing with friends in free time. On the day of performance, I felt that the big number of performers made the dance more appealing, and I was glad to be a part of this. I learned once again that by performing with other people, the performance can look more appealing and energetic.

I joined the breakdance club at my school in September in 2022. Although I have an experience in dancing, that was when I was a primary school student, so I hadn't been dancing for many years. When I danced in the past, I mainly learned cheer dance, so breakdance was a completely new genre for me. Many skills needed muscle strength and agility which I did not have, but by going to practice every week, I saw myself improve and gradually being able to do some newly learned skills, such as the baby feeze and six-steps. My area for improvement would be to train more and develop muscle strength so I would be able to perform more challenging skills. However, I realized that my strengths are things I learned in my childhood, such as the ability to memorize choreography easily and doing cartwheels.
