Course Catalog Description
In this course, you will learn the safe use of hand and power tools to create projects with wood. Study topics include measurement, project planning and budgeting, prototyping, and basic Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM).

- Hand Tool Project
- By completing this project, you'll learn measurement and how to read a shop drawing. You will have an opportunity to use many of the hand tools common to woodworking. When you're done with this, you'll have a lovely piece of firewood as you move on to something more meaningful!

- You will continue practicing your measurement and plan-reading skills as you learn to use the first five power tools. You will need to pass a knowledge test on Schoology and a hands-on test with the instructor first.

- The cutting board allows you to be creative in your design while beginning to master the art of taking wood apart and putting it back together again. You will learn five more power tools for this project.
