Learn the basics of hand tools, power hand tools and stationary hand tools in a low-stress environment. Try wood turning, create something on the CNC machine, or create something you saw online. Students take home at least two completed projects at the end of the semester.
This is a one-semester class targeting freshmen, but all are welcome.
Learn the basics of Lean Manufacturing while making a keepsake box, a Shaker Nightstand and personal projects. Refine your marketing skills while completing shop projects. Students are also introduced to basic CAD/CAM concepts and create a project on the CNC router.
Enrollment in this class requires a passing grade in Exploring Woods or teacher approval.

Explore the construction trades in a low-stress, hands-on environment. This class is for those who want to explore the kinds of work available in the construction trades or those who plan on owning a home and want to know the basics of home construction and maintenance.
In the fourth year, students develop and complete a project of their choosing in either Woods Manufacturing or Construction Trades.
Join the only HVAC Pre-Apprenticeship high school program in the state of Oregon. Completion of this course gives you a step up into the apprenticeship application process. Learn the basics of heating, cooling, air conditioning and refrigeration. Refresh your knowledge of thermodynamics. Master the art of sheet metal work. Throw in some welding and a variety of other skills.
This class is intended mainly for juniors and seniors.
Earn a math credit in a hands-on environment with real problems. Skill sets are identified by our industry partners and taught in a real world way.
