Carl Gabel

Carl became a RH-CTV volunteer in June 2018. He worked in the accounting and finance industry for 15 years, in hotels, agriculture and manufacturing. He was totally immersed in Lotus 123, Excel and accounting software.

Tired of chasing numbers for so many years, he decided to take up technical writing and marketing duties for startups with “novel” high-tech products. These products included smart-card based parking systems, unified messaging systems (voice/fax/email/SMS/multi-messaging/photos) on-any-device, 1-time password security systems and digital signatures for the banking industry.

After retiring too early, he took on volunteering duties including teaching math to youngsters, number crunching for a large institution dealing with disabled adults/seniors and giving technical support to seniors at various senior homes.
