Our next Information Session will be held on Saturday January 17th from 10am-12pm at the McConaghy Centre. Come and join us to learn about the amazing world of Computer Desktops/Laptops (Apple/Windows), Tablets (Android/Apple iPads), Smartphones (Android/Apple iPads) and more!
In the 1st hour, Karin Ash (Manager, Recreation Programs, City of Richmond Hill) will join us. The Richmond Hill Age-Friendly Community Strategy was approved in 2023, to help create a community where all ages can thrive. One of the key initiatives of the strategy is communication and simple and equitable access for seniors to local information. The Recreation and Culture and Communications teams collaborated on the updated RichmondHill.ca/seniors webpage. This webpage is now more user friendly and will continue to evolve as the location for all relevant information for seniors, including connections to York Region and community services. Join Karin as she walks you through the webpages and shares information on registering for programs and events with the City. Afterword's, she welcomes your feedback so that the City can continue to improve the webpages.
In the 2nd hour, Ken will have a short presentation titled “Do VPNs Really Protect Privacy?”. An open Q&A session will follow which provides participants the opportunity to ask questions related to the technology they use daily which would be of interest to everyone in attendance.
