We book two minibuses daily (Monday-Friday) for rowing to get the boys to and from Marlow.
We can't always get the buses and when this happens we may ask for parental help or book taxi-buses. It is not always so easy to get a taxis at the end of the school day as they are booked for school transport, but we try.
The minibuses are parked up by the restaurant and behind the boarding house. The buses will be driven by the coaches, They are keen to leave by 3:40pm.
The boys should try and change before they leave as the only place to change in Marlow is in the Container BUT its better to get the bus than not go if there is a choice.
If your son can't make a session, please ask them to come by the minibuses to tell the coach, or get someone else to let them know.
The minibuses will return after the end of the session in Marlow. Having packed up and got through the traffic, leaving time will be between 6:15 and 6:30pm return times are about 6:30 and 6:45pm.
The coaches will drive back into the school site and dismiss the boys, we expect your sons will know where they are being picked up from.
We will pass the costs on at the end of each half term. We take the costs of driving the minibuses, the taxis booked and looking at how many boys used the buses over the half term. We work out an average cost per boy per session and pass that on. It can be of the order of £5 or £6 but varies with the fullness of the buses and the number of taxis.
