This site was originally created as part of a final assignment in my Intro to Animation class in Spring 2020. Since then, I have created little to nothing worth posting or sharing. I began a recent "project" involved taking all 200+ "original characters" (and I use the term very loosely here, as about 90% of these characters only exist as short, written descriptions of physical traits and special abilities), sorted into seven different groups based on the "roster" they are in and even iterations.
Personal circumstances prevented me to even begin much past preproduction phase, though I would create some during drawpile sessions with some friends. I suddenly had the idea to simply upload all, if not most, works I have ever done, in some shape or form, regardless if they are "completed" or not, and have them posted here. I originally did something similar on my currently inactive art Instagram profile, but it did not seem right having it sit there, so I figured this would be the better place.
Since middle school, I have brainstormed countless ideas that have never properly come to fruition, be it game concepts, large amounts of "original characters", and whatever else would be noodling around my head for the past decade. I attribute the lack of content to my own lack of discipline, motivation, and, honestly, ambition. Of course, this is what I wanted to do with my life, but I never wrapped it around my head that I would need to actively work for it. That's my fault and I have to accept that I'm not where I should be because of it. I still have time though; before I can get going, I felt I had to create this digital archive. Something to show how far I have got, regardless of how inconsistent I was creating art.
The year is currently 2021 of the writing of this passage. After a year and a half of being a college dropout, I returned to CSULB to finish my Bachelor's degree for Studio Arts. After two more years/four more semesters and having expanded my horizons exponentially, I have found new drive to continue creating as I did years ago. This digital archive is the result of progress starting in middle school and now, as a I continuously make time to update this. Think of it as an extension of an autobiography, which I am also currently writing. There is also another reason why I created this digital archive, but you'll find it as you read. If you simply want to skip ahead, go to the "2021" page.
Special thanks to family members and friends who have continued their support despite the inactivity and renewed vigor.
Look at this guy, so full of optimism and potential. Ain't too late to make myself proud.
I don't know why this is here. I have this tattooed on my right calf. Shit hurt!!! (drawn by my brother Rogine F)
Should for any reason you may like to get to know me, ask questions about my work, or watch some hour+ long dodgeball sessions, I'll add some of my social links below.
