There is no better introduction to the world of cash and medical benefits than Disability Benefits 101. Content on the site is researched and organized by benefits experts from the disability community. There are no advertisements, and no one connected with the site will try to sell you anything.

The experts explain programs, eligibility, documentation and recertification requirements. They also provide great details about how work will affect your benefits.

Despite its name, this is not just a site for those with disabling conditions. If you have questions about CalWorks, food stamps, or Medi-Cal, this is a great place to start.

Disability Services and Legal Center

If you are disabled and would like help with your benefits application, Disability Services and Legal Center may be able to help. Most services are free.

If your disability benefits application has been denied, DSLC’s attorneys assist with appeals. If your appeal is successful, the lawyer will take a portion of your settlement.

Disability Services and Legal Center can also provide disabled people with many other services, including housing search and modifications, requests for reasonable accommodations and peer support.  They may also be able to provide you with a Chrome Book.
