dotMobi - 2007
dotMobi (the informal name of mTLD Top Level Domain, Ltd.) was appointed by ICANN as the official global registry for the .mobi top level domain, with the objective of driving growth of mobile web content and services.
We conducted 90 minutes sessions with first 60 minutes interview and last 30 minutes as usability study to gather feedback on initial concepts of Instant Mobilizer service doMobi wanted to launch in the market. All interviews were recorded.
Target market was Small and Medium business owners.
I was a sole user researcher and conducted user research sessions in New York and London. For Germany, our German speaking colleague conducted interviews.
I conducted 20 interviews in New York and 20 interviews in London. After the interviews, I conducted analysis and created report for dotMobi. A presentation with research findings, analysis and recommendations was conducted with dotMobi.
Only half of the Small and medium businesses preferred the solutions and they thought Mobile websites won't be the primary channel people will look for their services. Note that this was 2008 and scenarios were different at the time.
Americans responded to the marketing campaign totally diffrently than those of British. It was clear from the findings that designs have to be diffrent for USA and UK although both are English speaking countries.

The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore - 2007
Singapore Government wanted us to conduct research and find out what citizens and non-citizens are looking for on their website and what are their requirements. Apart from other UX activities, 1-on-1 interviewes was one of the major acitivties. We interviewed around 40 participants from 4 user types.
I worked as a researcher and interviewed Non-Citizens. After interviews, we collectively worked on the report. Following report slide shows more details about the scope of the research project.
