Banking and Finance

How might we provide an easy to use banking interface for Small and Medium business of Ban's customers so that they can conduct daily transactions.

The Challenge 

Multinational Bank had a banking solution for large businesses and it proved to be too complex for S&M businesses. Bank approached us to design a solution for S&M businesses for their business.  

My Role 

I was one of the UX Designers of a team of 5 and participated in all design activities of the project. I was also primarily responsible for converting English prototype to Polish language and prepare all material required for Usability Testing. I also worked with HTML developers to prepare prototype for Usability testing.

The Process 

We started with understanding Bank's large business banking solution. Since we were studying the banking portals, strict confidentiality protocols were observed.  During these sessions, stakeholder interviews were conducted.

We studied S&M solutions by other banks. This was the toughest task as getting access to such portals can be challenging.

We started by designing a web banking solution. Sketches were  created and shared back and forth with stakeholders for quick feedback from prospect users. This continued till we reached to a point where we were ready for creating the HTML prototype. 

We designed and developed an advanced prototype in English and Polish for Usability Testing. Material for Usability Testing was prepared and shared with Poland and UK team to conduct Usability Tests on the prototype.

Based on the feedback we got from the Usability tests, changes were made to the prototpe and final solutions was delivered to the Bank.

Bank got this solution developed from a third party IT company. 

Accomplishments 

Bank got the web portal developed after the design and implemented it for the S&M businesses in Poland. Most probably they also replicated the same design with some changes for other countries. 

The Challenge 

Loan Company's Personal Loan and EMI card app is designed with new features constantly. This app allows people to apply personal loan online. Customer can also apply for an EMI card. 

My Role

I managed the team of 4 designers.  I was continuously reviewing the work and also worked hands on as required for the features of the app.
