OFFENSE

OFFENSIVE OVERVIEW:

Offensively we will pride ourselves on sharing the basketball and being unselfish teammates. We will be relentless at attacking and putting pressure on the defense. 

We will rely on drive and space-based offense with certain rules that will change depending on our personnel from year to year. Our focus will be on consistent ball and player movement with great floor spacing and quick decisions. 

We will put a premium on getting our players shots in the areas where they can be successful. We will be a very disciplined team who will know what each of our teammates’ strengths are and go about playing on the offensive end that way. 

We will have transition actions that flow into our half-court offense against zone and man. Our emphasis is to look for small advantages and turn them into big advantages. We will use some half court sets that flow out of our base offense (zone or man). These sets will be designed to get specific looks for our players in certain situations. Our main program emphasis is to get players to understand how to make plays. A majority of our practice time will be spent on the skill development and the decision making process of reading defenses.
