This page will cover how to safely operate the DMR.
Starting the DMR
To initiate the DMR startup procedure, maintenance personnel are required to enter the chamber and lock the fuel cells. Reactor Operations personnel should activate the catalyser feedwater pumps. Activation of other systems is handled by the F.A.A.S. Once all the aforementioned steps have been successfully completed, it is essential to notify the maintenance team to prepare for the DMR startup. Additionally, activate Pump Station Alpha to commence pumping coolant to the catalyzers. Prior to turning the key and pressing the startup button, ensure you receive confirmation from the other operators in the room that all is clear and ready for startup.

Until you get a power order, raise (or lower) the DMR temperature to reach 1200K. It is recommended not to exceed 3500K to prevent the DMR from entering a thermal runaway, which can have dire consequences.
For temperature orders, raise or lower the temperature to match the specified value, using the catalyser and coolant controls.
For GWh orders, adjust the turbine valves in SL2 until you get the correct production level. you can also raise or lower the DMR temperature till its within range.
Be aware of the MoE (Margin of Error). It represents the range within which the DMR's temperature or GwH can fluctuate without going out of range.

If the DMR's temperature drops below 275K, reactor sustainability may be lost. Stalling the DMR will cause your team to lose shift points.
100%+: The fuel cell monitoring system has failed. Please contact maintenance personnel for more info.
20%-100%: The normal range for reactor operation.
1%-20%: Maintenance mode should be engaged by Reactor Operations personnel, and Maintenance should replace the cells in the DMR combustion chamber.
0%: The DMR combustion sequence will stall, and maintenance mode will be automatically engaged.
In the event that the DMR's temperature exceeds 3500K, cool down the DMR below 3000K to prevent integrity dropping. If the integrity drops below 10%, a thermal runaway may occur.
If this occurs, the emergency shutdown system will become available. Follow the instructions on this page.
If the shutdown attempt fails, all personnel must evacuate immediately. Follow the instructions on this page.
Optionally, an emergency fuel ejection may be attempted, but it is not required or recommended. Follow the instructions on this page.
