The Tartarus Cargo Bay is a vital resource hub, supplying fuel cells for the DMR and fuel canisters for the generators. Located on the lower side of Tartarus, to the left as you pass the Tartarus Bottomside control area, this cargo bay plays a critical role in fueling both the generators and the DMR. This importance is amplified by the sluggish operation of the Hadron Collider and the lack of an alternative means to produce fuel canisters. Inside the cargo bay, storage crates offer limited space, accommodating 9 fuel cells and 15 fuel canisters.
To place a supply shipment order, simply head to the cargo bay in the Bottomside Tartarus Zone and enter the airlock in the small building labelled "Tartarus Zone Cargo Bay". On the other side, enter the small office opposite to the cargo boxes and click on the keyboard at the computers that has a sticky note on it. Once it is clicked, a order placement GUI piece will show up, allowing you to chose from 3 different orders, one containing a large amount of fuel cells, one containing a large amount of diesel canisters, and one containing a balanced mix of both (See images below). Keep in mind the delivery system may only be used by maintenance personnel.
Once an order is placed, a shipment can take quite a while to arrive. You can watch as the supplies you requested slowly make their way to the depot via two screens, one showing a map of the nearby area as well as a green box representing where the delivery truck is, and on the other screen a status log that shows what phase of delivery the package is in. As well as this, notifications will be received on the truck's progress towards the delivery arriving.
To offload the delivery truck, simply click the screen that displays the remaining amount of the specific supply with nothing equipped, and you will receive one of that item (or three, if you have the advanced backpack pass). This is the maximum amount you can hold at a time on your person. Take that supply and click on the corresponding supply crate to deposit the item, at which point you can collect another. You can repeat this process until the crates are either full or the truck runs out. Once the truck is emptied or the timer runs out, it will depart and after a short period of time another shipment may be ordered.
Inside the cargo bay, there are two interactable supply crates for storing recourses delivered from the supply truck. One of the crates is dedicated to diesel canisters and sits next to the truck offloading area of the cargo bay. The other interactable crate is the dark matter fuel cell storage crate, which sits at the wall parallel to the small office space. The diesel canister crate can hold up to 15 diesel canisters, while the dark matter fuel cell crate can only hold up to 9 fuel cells, this being because fuel cells are much bigger than canisters.
As well as the supply crates in the depot, there are also shelves near the place where the respective supplies are used. For fuel cells, there is a shelf in the change room where hazmat suits are equipped, allowing for two fuel cells to be stored there, or if you have the extra fuel cell storage gamepass, six fuel cells may be stored. Once a fuel cell is on the shelf, it cannot be taken off until the DMR enters maintenance mode, so that visitors don't just steal the fuel cells and then go falling off a catwalk. For diesel canisters, there is a shelf in the same room as the auxiliary generators that can hold up to 16 diesel canisters, no gamepass required. Keep in mind that once a diesel canister is on the shelf, only maintenance personnel may remove them again, for roughly the same reason as with fuel cells only being removable in maintenance mode.
