Purpose of WSCS is to:

  • help women grow in the knowledge and experience of God as revealed in Jesus Christ;

  • challenge them to respond to God’s redemptive fellowship;

  • make Christ known throughout the world;

  • develop a personal responsibility for the whole task of the Church.

We aims to provide programmes that meet the needs and interests of women, by involving our women through 4 ministries of Discipleship and Nurture, Outreach and Social Concerns, Witness & Evangelism, and Missions in partnership with our church in the community.

WSCS RISEN MUMS' MINISTRY

Testimony by Meredith Tan

I’m really thankful to be in an authentic community of Christian mums where we love and care for one another. More importantly, as we share our joy and struggles, we uplift one another positively in our prayers. ❤️

Testimony by Mak Wei Jiat

I’ve been blessed greatly by the sharing of other mothers from Risen Moms.

God has spoken to me in so many ways through the experiences and anecdotes of the other mothers. He has shown me His grace and faithfulness - I know that I’m not alone in my journey as a mother.

Testimony by Chan Yi Ling Charis

I did the Risen Moms course right after I delivered my second child, and was grateful for the once a week session. I was edified by the sharing within the community of like-minded mothers. The mentors were also very open and generous with their sharing experiences, I was deeply inspired by how each one of them has developed a purposeful partnership with Christ in this parenthood journey.

Jesus Loves Me This I Know – a Favourite Hymn of Mrs Lim Cheng Huat, PLMC Homebound Member

My siblings and I are grateful for the monthly visits of the WSCS Visitation Team over these past years to our home to cheer up our mum. She looks forward to the ladies’ visits each time – we can see her eyes visibly light up and a smile setting in as they step through the door. The songs of praise and familiar hymns she sings bring back memories of days she used to attend church services with our dad. The lyrics bring her much comfort and cheer.

During Covid-19, the ladies continued to connect with mum through video calls to offer words of encouragement and pray for her. Christmas carolling, too, continued via digital media. We are thus reminded of the need to persevere in encouraging fellow believers in their faith even during challenging times. We truly appreciate the good work of the WSCS ladies in giving of their time, effort and energy to show love, care and concern to homebound ladies like my mum – their work is worthy of emulation. Through their faithfulness, we and our mum have experienced God’s goodness and love. The Lord bless each member for their faithfulness and grant them strength and much joy in their service for His glory.
