Powers & Abilities: Simon is an expert hacker, among the top three in the world.

History: Simon grew up in a world surrounded by technology. As a child, he was fascinated by the inner workings of computers and the secrets they held. His parents, both software engineers, nurtured his curiosity, but they soon found that Simon’s abilities surpassed their own. By his teenage years, he was already making waves in the hacker community under the alias “Hack Attack.”

Despite his talents, Simon struggled to find his place. He dabbled in ethical hacking, but the thrill of the challenge was missing. He found the monotony of firewalls and data backups beneath his grand intellect. Seeking a challenge worthy of his skills, he delved into the dark web, honing his abilities to breach the most secure networks. It wasn’t until he orchestrated a complex cyber-attack on a corrupt corporation that he felt a true sense of accomplishment. However, the victory was short-lived as he realized the potential harm his actions could cause.

Torn between right and wrong, Simon decided to embrace the darker side of his skills. He aimed to become a renowned villain, but his attempts were met with mockery. When he accidentally foiled a fake robbery which was set up to help Captain Amazing's failed reputation, he was not taken seriously by the Legion of Villains and was dismissed as a potential candidate for membership. 

Undeterred, Hack Attack embraced his role as an outsider. When Captain Amazing, Night Scorpion, and Scuba Boy found themselves ostracized from the League of Heroes, it was Hack Attack who aided their clandestine entry into the League’s systems. His digital prowess became invaluable, and together they orchestrated the downfall of the Legion of Villains, turning the tables on those who once mocked him. 

Working with the fallen heroes, Simon found a new purpose. He used his hacking skills for good, helping to dismantle the Legion of Villains. This experience taught him the value of his abilities and the impact they could have when used responsibly.

Now, Simon operates on the fringes of heroism and villainy. As Hack Attack, he offers his services to those willing to pay, but he maintains a code of ethics, avoiding jobs that would cause undue harm. His reputation as a brilliant, if unpredictable, hacker precedes him, making him a wildcard in the world of heroes and villains alike.

Simon Cipher’s journey as Hack Attack is a complex one, marked by personal growth, moral dilemmas, and the search for identity in a digital age.
