Typically, superheroes are depicted as beacons of virtue and role models that people should aspire to emulate. In an ideal fictional world that may be all fine and dandy, but in the real world if people had superpowers, they would still be the same miserable assholes they were before. The only difference is they'd be miserable assholes with superpowers. Their powers may be amazing, but the people behind them are... NOT SO AMAZING.

We pick up with Captain Amazing, Night Scorpion, and the rest of the usual cast of characters a few years after the ending of the original series. This is NOT a reboot, but a continuation.
