PHANGS Work: I am leading efforts in understanding the densest parts of molecular clouds, the immediate sites of star formation within the “Cold ISM and Star Formation” and “Physical Conditions of the Cold ISM" working groups. With the ALMOND (ACA Large-sample Mapping Of Nearby galaxies in Dense gas)  survey,  we mapped 25 nearby galaxies (a sub-sample of the PHANGS galaxy sample) in dense gas tracers, including HCN, HCO+ and CS, at 1-2 kpc resolution making this the largest sample of resolved dense gas maps of nearby galaxies. Currently, I am pushing towards mapping more of these PHANGS galaxies in dense gas tracers at higher resolution in order to resolve cloud scales. Moreover, I am significantly contributing to the technical tools and have helped developed a spectral stacking code that is publicly available via the PHANGS GitHub. I am also in the organizing team of the PHANGS colloquium.
