General Science Interest: I am primarily interested in nearby galaxies, the distance ladder, and large-scale structure. Specifically, I use imaging from the Hubble Space Telescope to study resolved extragalactic stellar populations and measure accurate distances to galaxies using their brightest red giant stars.

PHANGS Work: I am using parallel imaging from the PHANGS-HST survey to derive accurate tip of the red giant branch distances to individual galaxies. I also help compile and update literature distances for the larger PHANGS sample.

A plot of the distribution of PHANGS galaxies on the sky in supergalactic coordinates. The color-key shows the method used for the distance determination to each galaxy.
